Tony, Crosby & I went to Furman for a walk around the lake.  There were lots of people out enjoying the weather!

Weight Watchers encourages you to have some sort of activity each day.  Before starting WW, I was trying to build exercise into my daily routine.  I haven’t been doing as well as I would have liked but after this weekend I am ready to earn my activity points!  Since I joined WW, I am not going to write my goals for the week and then update them each week.  Instead I will keep you updated on my running plan!

Running Update:

I finally came up with a running plan and found a 5K to run!  I am planning on finishing the Couch to 5K on March 9th.  There are 2 different 5Ks in the area on March 19, which happens to be my 27th birthday!  The two races are the Milliken Earth Run and the BIASC Run For Thought.  Has anyone run either of these before and if so which one would you suggest for a beginner??

5K Training plan:

  • Run 4 times a week
  • Finish W9D3 of the C25K on March 9th
  • Take 1 rest day per week
  • Do strength training videos or classes twice a week.
  • Run a 5K race on my 27th birthday, March 19th!

Time to relax and get ready for bed.  I am getting up at 5 to go for a run before work!

See you tomorrow with a WW friendly recipe that I promised you last week.

Are you a morning or evening exerciser?

Tomorrow is my first early morning run.  I hope it goes well!

Comments

  1. I can’t wait to see how your running progresses! A friend and I did a 5K over the summer and to prep for it we both followed the C25K plan and loved it. Good luck with the plan, I know you’ll be successful!!!

  2. Hey Sheena. I used to run the Earth Run every year when I was in high school/college. It’s a lot of fun, but it is a cross country race – so not on pavement. I would suggest a road race. Good luck!
