Early Monday morning the snow finally arrived! In the South when you get 7 inches of snow, everything shuts down. The roads take days to get clean. Kids don’t go to school all week. Growing up in PA, this just seems crazy to me. I finally ventured out into the ice today to go to work. Luckily I brought work home on Friday anticipating the snow and was able to work on Monday and Tuesday from home.
Back to the snow, we woke up Monday to a winter wonderland!
The roads were sheets of ice on Tuesday thanks to the freezing rain Monday night!
Tony and Crosby relaxed a lot on Monday and Tuesday,
while I was hard at work.
Monday night I made Mama Pea’s Pho Soup. The only alterations I made were using chicken broth instead of vegetable and adding mushrooms and bean sprouts. It was fantastic. There is nothing better than a warm bowl of soup on a cold blustery day!
Back to cleaning up the blog and cheering on the Penguins!
