Quick Sunday Dinner

I’m not sure where today went to.  After church we worked outside trying to tackle our yard.  It’s a work in progress and will still need more evenings/nights.  We don’t have any grass but plenty of weeds growing in our mulch and lots of leaves!  I’m sure the leaves are just going to get worse through the fall.  Somehow dinner snuck up on us and we were both starving when we finished up outside.  It was the perfect night to try the bag of Birds Eye Voila! that I received through the Foodbuzz Tastemakers Program.

Tonight we tried the bag of Garlic Shrimp.

It is pasta in a garlic sauce with shrimp, broccoli carrots and corn.

It was so easy to make.  Just empty the bag into a skillet, add the water and heat for about 12 minutes.

Voila 2We weren’t having any salads to go with it so I decided to add a bag of broccoli florets to it to up the vegetable content!  I sometimes think this type of bag meal is a little weak on the vegetables (and they always include lots of the trunks of the broccoli, which I don’t really like).

In no time it was ready to be served.

We added some shredded mozzarella to make it a little creamier.

It was a very convenient meal to make tonight.  I’m glad that I had it because we probably would have had takeout from somewhere if we didn’t have it.

Do you enjoy easy dinners like this one?

  1. Hi Sheena,
We just tried the chicken alfredo two days ago. It was delicious! I love lemon so I added a little lemon while it was cooking. Quick and easy for sure. Now I will try this one! Hope all is well!

  2. I really do love these meals, they are to easy to make. I eat them all the time and my family loves them too. My fav is the Birds Eye Voila! Family Skillets Cheesy Chicken.

Thanks for showing how great this food looks!
